A Timeless Wedding with Room for Possibility!

When we hear ‘classic’, we think black and white meets modern elegance. Many couples stray away from black wedding décor for the fear of a gothic edgy theme, but we’ve compiled a mood board with subtle hints of black to create a tasteful celebration.

The most obvious way to include black in a wedding is in the attire. Black bridesmaid's dresses, black groomsmen's suits, you can even request that your guests wear black. When it came to décor we wanted to add subtle black accents to break up the white shades. For the tablescape we chose lined chargers and flatware with hints of black. We opted for delicate yet intricate florals to add character to our monochromatic floral theme. Since all our florals maintained a white or cream hue the addition of statement greenery added height and depth. To take these florals to the next step we embraced modern black vases and votives. With this sleek theme we wanted to bring some ‘fun’ into this wedding through the timeline by adding a champagne tower.

A classic wedding theme leaves room for customization and you can add any and all styles. Want to add a whimsical aspect? Consider swapping out a subtle white plate for a patterned one. Want to incorporate boho style? Embrace natural textures in your décor. Want to include a vintage touch? Utilize gold vintage frames for signage. Want to elegantly add personalization? Try including a monogram on your cocktail napkins and invitations. If you are nervous to dive into a black and white wedding theme, reach out to photographers that have a moody style with dark editing. How will you personalize a classic wedding?
